Project Description | Pseudomonas stutzeri CCUG 29253 (P. stutzeri AN10) is a well characterized naphthalene degrading bacterium isolated from sediments of the West Mediterranean Sea. Although it is able to grow with naphthalene and/or salicylate as unique carbon and energy source, salicylate seem to be toxic for strain AN10 at concentrations higher than 3 mM. Evolutionary experiments to adapt strain AN10 to higher salicylate concentrations are now underway. |
