This bacterium is closely related to Pseudomonas syringae pv. glycinea and Pseudomonas syringae pv. savastanoi and produces phaseolotoxin, which is a phytotoxin. Strain 1448A is a natural occurring rifampicin-resistant mutant strain and contains a non-functional homolog of avrPphE. |
