Project Description | Marine microorganisms are an important resource for intriguing bioactive compounds. During our continuous screening for new antibiotics from marine-derived bacteria, a putatively novel Pseudomonas species 10B238 was isolated from a deep-sea sediment collected from the South China Sea, which has the genetic potential to produce secondary metabolites related to nonribosomal peptides (NRPs), as well as show moderate antifungal activities against the Rhizoctonia solani and Botrytis cinerea. To gain insights into its biosynthetic pathway for antifungal bioactive compounds and estimate its the biosynthetic potential of NRPs genes with unknown function. So, we report the high quality draft genome of Pseudomonas sp. 10B238. |
